I had to take every topic offered by the business faculty as a student of business administration, but "Marketing" stood out to me as being particularly intriguing. But when I chose to study the subject with Mr. Berlin, one of the most accomplished professors, it became much more fascinating.
Whether he was instructing on the fundamentals of marketing, consumer behavior, retailing, new product management, advertising management, pricing policy, new product development, or any other marketing topics, Mr. Chun had a distinctive teaching style. As shocking as it may sound, Mr. Berlin actually believed that all of the students in his marketing class were "expert marketeers," and that they would instruct him on how to become an expert marketer. In addition, he would counsel us to constantly view "marketing" as a means of "helping" consumers rather than striving for "profiteering," as such a strategy would eventually help secure "goodwill" among the potential consumers. The fact that Mr. Berlin only used a few arbitrary "case studies" to gauge how much we had learned in his class rather than a formal test or examination was, in my opinion, the best feature of his teaching methods. How much, then, did Mr. Berlin's class aid me?
Well, everything I learned from Mr. Berlin has really helped me in my professional and personal life because it taught me the art of "listening" (yes, one has to be a really good "listener" if he or she wants to be an expert "Marketeer"), which is probably the most crucial skill to learn in order to become a "effective communicator." Additionally, it has aided me in developing a routine awareness of "trends" in many businesses so that I may modify and adapt appropriately in order to succeed as a professional. Finally, it has aided in my ability to comprehend the demands of another person (referred to as a "client" in marketing terminology), both in the professional and private spheres, hence strengthening my relationships with others in the real world.

To respond to this cue card, choose a legitimate academic field like math, english, physics, chemistry, literature, or biology. then quickly jot down a few things, like the following:

- As the cue card asks you to discuss a subject taught in your school, avoid choosing a subject that is taught at the college or university level.
- Try to recall the name of an instructor. Since different professors teach the same subject in different classes at school, you can mention the names of more than one teacher.
- Give a brief description of the subject. For instance: You should bring up the Earth, the other planets in the solar system, the atmosphere, and climate change discussions that would be covered in geography class.
