I want to talk about The Godfather, a well-known Italian author Mario Puzo's iconic book that is one of my favorites. In a bookstore, I was looking for a dictionary when I came across this book. It was produced in hard-cover, and the front had a vibrant artwork that drew my attention.
Although the novel's preview did not particularly attract me at first, I nonetheless bought it and immediately began reading the plot when I got home. Surprisingly, "The Godfather" grew more appealing to me as I read it. After World War I, an imagined Italian mafia lord in America under the name of Vito Corleone was the subject of this book's narrative. The way the author presented Vito's strategies for surviving in a chaotic culture caught my attention in this narrative. I discovered a lot about the development of American history during that period of lawlessness as a result of this book.
I read a few more Mario Puzo books after reading this one, and they were all fantastic. I understand that reading books is a great way to learn, thus everyone should develop the habit of reading.

I love reading, and I really enjoy picture books. Despite the fact that I've read a lot of stories, one stands out and deserves to be mentioned.
This tale centers on a struggling farmer. He learns one day from the villagers that there is gold on his farms and that he must dig in a specific location to get at it.
The impoverished farmer is ecstatic when he hears this and uses whatever money he has to purchase a digging machine. And he puts in two months of hard work while remaining focused, disciplined, and determined.
He worked so hard, yet he still didn't discover any gold. Dejected, he then sells his farm to someone else out of rage.
The farm's new owner continues the digging operation, and after 30 minutes, he finds the gold.
The renowned book "Think and Grow Rich" contains this tale.

Reading different books and novels has always piqued my interest because it not only broadens my knowledge of many topics but also helps me become a better reader. In truth, I've read many books throughout my life, so picking just one is an extremely difficult challenge for me. However, after reading this cue card, "train to Pakistan" is one novel that immediately came to mind.
About two years ago, I read this book and thought it was really good. Actually, one of my friends, Rachit, suggested this book. I initially believed that this was not my kind of novel, but I was completely mistaken. It caught my attention after reading a few pages, and I finished it in less than a week.
Great Indian author Khushwant Singh wrote the historical tale "Train to Pakistan." Actually, this book is based on the 1947 Hindu-Muslim riots that occurred when India and Pakistan were split apart.
In this tale, the author added a small imaginary village where Sikhs and Muslims had coexisted harmoniously for centuries. Along with this, he also discussed how the partition had an impact on everyone who lived there and how they had to abandon their houses to seek refuge in another location in order to survive.
The love story between the main character Jagga, who comes from a Sikh household, and Nooran, a Muslim, was also the most fascinating portion of this book. They both hailed from the same hamlet, but following the division of the two nations, they became estranged. While her love Jagga remained in India, Nooran moved to a refugee camp with her family in order to immigrate to Pakistan.
The moment when two lovers reconciled despite their separation was the genuine turning point in this story because of their love, faith, and determination. In addition, this book explained the separation that we refer to as the bitter and dirty truth of Indian freedom.
I was left with an overly sentimental and depressed feeling after finishing this book. I had long, introspective thoughts about how people at that time managed to survive and deal with challenges.
Because it perfectly combines fact and imagination, I found this book to be pretty engaging all around. In a nutshell, it is fascinating, enjoyable, and helpful to broaden my historical knowledge.

Do you believe it is necessary to read the book before viewing the film adaptation?
No, I don't think so; if you read the book and then see the movie, you won't be as interested in the movie since you already know everything that happens in it. In my opinion, reading the book before seeing the movie is a complete waste of time or a time-consuming task.
